El Pilon
Owned by English chef Christian is one of the best restaurants in the village. Excellent meat, fresh fish and vegetables. Many dishes cooked on his outside chargrille. Advisable to book particularly in summer if you want to sit on the upstairs balcony.

El Cortijo del Paco
Another excellent restaurant owned by Pirri and his wife Encarni, on a par with el Pilon with excellent steaks, fish and rabo de torro ( oxtail), and if you like fillet steak, try the Tornedo Rossini. If you like carpaccio of beef, try it here, delicious. Always nice and warm in winter. Probably the best in the village.

Taberna De`Oscar
Situated in the little square below the main Plaza Almijara, a typical Spanish bar/restaurant run by Oscar ( you may remember him from El Pilon) and chef Gary.Tapas with a difference, served as medio raciones, so normally, 2 people would share 5 dishes. A great way to try different dishes, always freshly prepared and cooked to order. The dishes come out as they are prepared, so not always in order, and sometimes all at once !!

Museo del Vino
Eat in the bar part, always a good atmosphere, same menu as in the restaurant, and always very good. You can't leave here without trying the Vino de Competa.
