Apartment El Morche

The coastal village of El Morche is situated approx 35 Km east of Malaga, between Torre de Mar (8 Km) and Nerja (9Km).

The long, sandy beach at El Morche is one of the many beaches on this part of the coast that has been awarded a Blue Flag in recognition of its cleanliness, safety, and facilities.

The beach is normally very quiet, apart from Sundays during the summer, when it attracts many local Spaniards who arrive with barbecues to cook their freshly caught fish. Even on these days, however, there is still plenty of room and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Also on the beach, fishing boats are pulled up, and there is a reed covered meeting place where the local fishermen sit, chat, and drink the Malaga wine in the shade.

There are two chiringuitas (beach bars) on the beach, both serving a wonderful array of fish and shellfish, and freshly caught sardines barbecued on olive wood fires.

There are also a number of other bars, restaurants and shops in the village, all within a short walk of the apartment. If you feel like going further afield, a regular bus service will take you to Malaga, Torre del Mar or Nerja, or you can always find a taxi within a short time.

For the more energetic, there are a couple of super golf courses, Baviera Golf (10 minutes), or Anoreta Golf (20 minutes), both excellent courses and open to non-members at very reasonable prices.

Jet skis can be hired further along the coast at Penoncillo, or fishing trips from La Caleta.

You can take a bus or taxi into the hills behind El Morche and walk in the Sierras Tejeda and Almijara, or visit the whitewashed hillside villages of Competa, Frigiliana and Canillas.

El Morche has all the ingredients for a relaxing family holiday, with plenty of places to visit, things to do, and to meet and mix with the welcoming, warm-hearted locals.

The Apartment

This brand new, 2nd floor apartment is right on the sea front overlooking the beach, off the main road, and in a quiet part of the village.

It comprises of two bedrooms, a double and a twin, bathroom, large lounge and dining room and fully fitted kitchen. There is also a sun terrace overlooking the beach, and is the ideal spot for eating, or just relaxing with a drink watching the sun go down over the sea.

All the floors are marble, helping to keep the apartment lovely and cool during summer.

All Deposits Your booking must be accompanied by your payment of 30% of the total cost. The balance, without further notification, to be paid a clear 8 weeks prior to hire commencement date. If your booking is made 8 weeks or less before this date it must be accompanied by full payment. If the final payment is not received by a clear 8 weeks prior to commencement date, then the owners will consider that the hirer is in breach of contract thereby cancelling the booking.
