Cortijo Juliana

Cortijo Juliana is a traditional, 250 year old farmhouse, that has recently been tastefully modernised and furnished, and is the latest addition to our holiday homes.
The cortijo ( meaning farmhouse, and pronounced cor teeko ) was one of the original farmhouses in the valley , and it was from here that the workers collected their wages for tending the olives and grapevines.
The house is approached along a level track lined with olive and avocado trees, approximately 300 meters long, just off the Competa ( 5km) – Torrox ( 10 km) road, with an ample parking and turning area.
The accommodation inside the cortijo consists of, on the lower floor, a sitting room with original open fireplace, leading through to another sitting or reading room. Off this room to the left is a downstairs toilet and shower room, and to the right a very large farmhouse kitchen and dining room.
Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms, a double and 2 twins, and 2 more bathrooms. There is also a roof terrace over part of the house. The farmhouse is built into the slope of the hill, and this allows access to the upper floor from outside, ideal for people who find stairs difficult.
Outside there is a private swimming pool ( 8m X 4m ) and sun terracing. There is also a shady terrace directly outside the front door, the floor of which is original, and made of the old style cobbled terracing found throughout Andalucia.
Cortijo Juliana is a wonderful old house, with stunning views over the valley and mountains, and is the ideal base to enjoy your holiday.

Rental prices are in Euros, the Sterling equivalent shown is correct at 8th July 2006, please use the currency converter for current exchange rate. The above prices are for the villa for one week. A discount of 7.5% will be given for bookings of two or more weeks. There is a special rate for longer term winter lets of 3 months or more between October and March.

All Deposits

Your booking must be accompanied by your payment of 30% of the total cost. The balance, without further notification, to be paid a clear 8 weeks prior to hire commencement date. If your booking is made 8 weeks or less before this date it must be accompanied by full payment. If the final payment is not received by a clear 8 weeks prior to commencement date, then the owners will consider that the hirer is in breach of contract thereby cancelling the booking.
